I am constantly trying to improve myself and I keep learning. One thing I have noticed is that I do not set realistic deadlines and I get so stressed afterwards.
Irrespective of the fact that I want to achieve a lot and be effective and efficient I have to work smartly and give myself enough time. One way I am trying to implement setting realist goals is by timing myself.
Timing Myself: I already do this every morning, I time myself to bath, brush, do my make up and literally everything. To be honest, my alarm/ timer is my best friend in the morning. This has really helped me to dress up in time and leave the house in time without stressing. Now I am trying to put this into my daily routine with everything, especially my daily goals. I know this sounds crazy but it works.
Reduce your time by 15% -20%: This is something I also practice during my morning routine that I would have to introduce into my daily life. For example, if my blog post would take me 1 hour to write up, I have to set 50 minutes target to write it. By saving these little 5 – 10 mins, it adds up to something more tangible in the long run and saves me so much more time.
After doing this a couple of times, you don’t just stop here you keep reducing your time by 5% till you get a time when you can achieve this goal with more efficiency, less time and without breaking a sweat.
Do not go extreme: There is one more thing: I want you to not go extreme. After setting your goals, and achieving it efficiently, you might be tempted to go extreme and go from 60 minutes to maybe 15 minutes to achieve your goal. That’s not going to work. That is a little too extreme.
